Otherworldly Warriors Volume 10, Epilogue

Epilogue

It's a story about how I took advantage of Serina weakness and forced her to do something, I told Fianna that she was having a hard time adjusting to this world.

"Is that so.......So you dare to heal her suffering?"

"That's right. I don't like the idea of forcing someone to do something they don't want to do. Of course, I'm just a normal guy. I'm not saying that I didn't have any lustful or malicious intentions. But I want you to know that I wanted to help her."

 Yeah, in this direction.

"I understand. I think you're using the wrong method, but I'm sure your feelings will get through to her."

"Oh, Priest Fianna-sama. By the way, do you think my feelings will get through to you too?"

"I-I think that ...... is reaching me."

"Is that so? But there is no action for that."

"That's because, the girl's not very good at it, and she's in no hurry to wait for him. I can't believe that's coming from me. ......" (TLN: sorry this line is hard to translate)

"I see, then, let's have dinner at Lady Tabitha's tonight. You can say no if you don't want to."

"I-I understand."

I'm sure she's heard a lot about Lady Tabitha from Serina, so I'm sure this is enough to let Fianna know what to expect.

Of course, after the meal, we were going to have sex.

Back at the inn, everyone was still looking for Fianna and Meme, so I declared them safe and told them to call off the search.

"But then again, the temple is a bit of a lighthouse."

Serina said as she came to my room.

"That's right. And also, Serina."

"What?"

"I'm grateful to you, too."

"Ha?"

"No, you've been so helpful with the adventures and the sex and everything. You're a lighthouse."

"Aside from adventure, sex is so blatantly obvious. ......"

"Well, I just wanted to say that."

"Yeah. Are you going to do anything today?"

"Uh, nothing. Why are you asking me?"

"Because you're being overly suspicious. It's not like we're strangers. It's just like I'm having revelation."

"Hmph, well, I'm sure you do, but don't pretend to be my real wife."

"I'm not. When did I say I was your wife?"

"No, it's an attitude thing."

"Are you kidding me? Then no sex from now on."

"Hou. Is that okay?"

"Kkuh, yes."

"I don't know how much longer you can hold out."

"I can do it, something like that."

"For example, I'm ......"

I poked my finger at her bust, which was almost too big to be seen even with her clothes on.

"Hyaah! H-hey!"

When she surprised, Serina hides her swaying breasts with her hands.

 She's a lewd woman.

"You've been trained."

"Aahh, T-That's what you say, and I won't let you do it again."

"All right. It's a contest of endurance. You're the one who's gonna cry."

"I don't know about that."

"Okay, this is my room. I'm going to fuck Meena, and you're going to leave."

"You didn't have to tell me. Ara."

Serina was about to leave the room when a soldier arrived just in time.

"Alec-san, could you please come to the castle?"

 I nodded.

"That was quicker than I thought. I understand."

"I wonder what you're' done this time."

"Don't talk to me like that. Maybe It's about Murphy case, of course. No, if it comes to that, call the Marquis Seiren. Also, I'm leaving you in charge."

"Eh? W-Wait, are you serious?"

"Yeah, that king may look friendly, but he's still a king. The lives of adventurers can easily be wiped out in a moment of national crisis."

"Hmm, he didn't seem like the type, but ...... anyway, I get it. I'll ask the Marquis Seiren for help. If something happen..."

"Yeah, I'll leave it to you."

I shook hands with Serina and headed off.

Of course, that was just a small play. Who's going to give the Clan to Serina? If I were to give it, it would probably to Ione or Saki.

The minions who follow a heroes are usually miserable. In a novel.

"We'll take care of this. You go ahead!"

 And that's the pattern.

If I were you, I wouldn't split up the forces.

When we run, we all run together.

 Isn't that obvious?

I headed for the royal castle, hoping that I wouldn't get any more troublesome requests.

 ◇ ◆ ◇ ◆ ◇

In the same bleak room, the king was still waiting for me.

"You've come, Alec."

"What can I do for you today, sir?"

"Well, don't be so alarmed. A man named Murphy, who claims to be your friend, has been locked up."

"Not really a friend, but he's a guest at the inn and I know him. I'm pretty sure he's not the culprit."

"I'm sure he wasn't. He had a sword, but the victim's wounds were from a knife. Well, this is just to lure you out. No hard feelings."

"What?"

I looked left and right in panic, but there was no sign of any soldiers coming out.

"Hahahaha, did you think I was going to take you down? You need to work on your eyesight, Alec."

"Thank you for your advice."

"So, in all seriousness, I have something to do with you."

"Hmm"

"It's not a request, you know. It's just that you might run away from the country if I keep asking you to do so. It's no fun for me or the country."

"I won't run away so easily, but what do you want?"

I asked him directly, trying to get him to quickly get to the point.

"Hmm. Actually, the matter of 'Ren Hau', it seems that an Assassin from a neighboring country has gotten mixed up in it."

"Assassins? Who are they trying to assassinate?"

"I am."

"Ah ......, no, I'm not sure what you mean. How can a king be attacked just by breaking into a private home?

"It's possible. I often go downtown on the sly."

"Ah, ......"

"But now that it's come to this, I can't afford to go out on my own. Not even to the dungeon."

I knew this king had been hiding in the dungeon.

I knew it was something like that, but he's so strong.

"So?"

"Recently, there's been talk of suspicious adventurers appearing near the bottom layer of the dungeon."

"If it's the lowest layer, ask the other A-rankers, Sarah and the others. I'm still on the seventh layer."

"One staircase down and you're at the bottom."

"Hmm? Isn't the ninth floor the lowest layer?"

"That's right, but it was only entered once by my ancestors. The only witnesses were the first king's party. If that's the case, it's doubtful that the ninth floor really exists, you know?"

"I see, a legend, huh"

In a dungeon where the lowest layer is the eighth layer, if you make up a story that the king once went to the ninth layer, that alone will boost the prestige of the royal family.

Descendants of the chosen heroes, that sort of thing. It's a layer that no one else can reach.

"Even Sarah and the rest of the A-rank party, as well as the former S-rank, Bard, have not found the entrance to the ninth layer. If anyone is going to find it, it's going to be me or you, the hero."

"I think you're overestimating me. There are plenty other heroes in this world."

I shrugged my shoulders and said.

"I'm sure you're right, but you've gotten so much stronger in such a short time. You're the only rookie who's made it to A rank in less than six months."

"What about Sarah?"

"She's been hiding in dungeons with her parents since she was barely a year old. It must have taken her more than five years."

Sarah's young, but that's just it, a voice actor who's been doing it since they were a kid is young but a veteran, or something like that.

"Besides, you're a womanizer."

The king says with a grin, but when he says that, I want to say something different.

"What I like is only beautiful girls and loli."

I correct him with a straight face.

"Well, it's the same thing. I'm talking about beautiful girls too."

"Hmm?"

"There's a woman on the eighth layer who's a solo PKer. I need you to gather information on her somehow."

"Are you kidding me? I don't want to do that."

Even though I was dealing with the king, I clearly refused.

After all, the opponent was too bad.

You think you can go to and from the bottom layer of that vicious dungeon solo?

It would be hard even for an S-rank adventurer like Bard or Doria.

"To tell you the truth, even Sarah and the others refused."

I didn't think that Sarah, who likes to get involved in everything, would refuse.

Well, I guess she's got a keen sense of smell.

In other words, death awaits us in this quest.

"Of course, I'm aware that she's a tough opponent. So all you have to do is gather information. It shouldn't be that difficult if you can crawl on the ceiling and float around."

"What if I refuse?"

"My frustration is mounting. I'm dealing with a capricious king. Maybe Murphy will be left in jail for a while."

 That's dirty.

"Murphy has nothing to do with this. Imprison him all you want."

If I tell him this, he'll think it's not working and let us go.

"I'll do that. Well, you're going to the bottom of the layer anyway. On that note."

"Your Majesty, I have only one question."

"What is it?"

"Why are you so obsessed with dungeons?"

If it's his own country's dungeon, he'll have to take care of it, but that doesn't mean that the king should be concerned every time someone strange appears on the bottom layer.

Worst case scenario, a daredevil adventurer would lose their life. If she were to appear on the surface, he would have to worry about it.

But right now, we're talking about the lowest layer.

"It's obvious. I can't stand the thought of my fellow adventurers losing their lives. That's all."

The king looked me in the eye, smiled and said.

"By the way, you don't think I'm one of you, do you?"

"No, Alec, you're also my friend."

"Then why are you sending me into a dangerous place?"

"Well, I figured you wouldn't die."

"That's just a hunch."

"That's right, but my instincts are right. Besides, I would have gone myself, but Zenon has put me under curfew. I'm not going to be able to move for a while, that's what the precious minister says, who usually lets me off the hook for sneaking around."

"I understand what you're saying. We're going to the eighth layer, but not right away, okay?"

"I don't care. I don't have any other choice, and those who go to the eighth layer won't be so easily distracted by a PK."

I'm tempted to say, "Then leave the PK alone," but I guess that's the nature of kings.

"Don't count on it. And Murphy must be released immediately, that's the deal."

That's all I said, and I left the castle.
