Interlude: The Flower Picking Quest Part 1
The next morning, I woke up pleasantly, listening to the birds chirping.
The bed here is a little hard, but I've gotten used to it.
「Now, what should I do today?」
Alec and Meena are attending a sword fighting school in the morning, so the rest of the party is free to go as they please.
I decided to head to the Adventurer's Guild to see if there were any good quests.
「Ooohh, Se-ri-na!」
As soon as I entered the guild building, a black-haired girl hugged me. It was Ai, the girl I had been adventuring with the other day.
「Wait, Ai, don't do that here!」
I felt my face flush as I remembered the last time I had gone girl on girl with her in a dungeon. My back also got chills.
「Oh, come on, we're such good friends.」
「No, you can't, there's a lot of people here. Anyway, let's go」
Ai was friendly from the start, but I guess this girl has a hobby of yuri. ...... Tamae said that yuri manga is not her hobby, but it is interesting! I'm not sure what that means at first, but now that she's shown me some of the H-mangas, so my useless knowledge is increasing.
「I can't help it. So, are we going to have fun at the inn now?」
「No, we won't.」
I'm not going to have sex with different people at the same time, even though I got carried away the other day.
It's called cheating or adultery.

Just as Ai was about to leave with her hand holding my hand, a gorgeous blonde lady came in through the entrance. When Ai sees her, she makes a heartfelt noise of disgust.
「Hmm, what's with that rudeness? Is there anything incovenient for you to meet me everytime?」
Isabelle also became unhappy, as if she was bothered.
「Uh, nothing, ahaha.」
「It's just that Ai wanted to be alone with me.」
I'll follow up on that.
「That's right. That's called sneaking around, isn't it? I'm not too impressed. Since the three of us are in a party like this, we should at least keep in close contact.」
Isabelle said something like that on her own, so Ai and I raised an objection.
「Ehh? We're not in a party.」
「I'm also a member of another party. ...... 」
「Huh? It's a shame, because I thought we had a good adventure the other day.......Well then, excuse me.」
Isabelle became visibly depressed, so Ai and I looked at each other and nodded.
「Isabelle, we're on our way to a quest right now, would you like to join us?」
「I'd like to go with Isabelle.」

Isabelle was in a good mood and started laughing loudly with her hand over her mouth, but I guess she's not busy.

「By the way, Ai, what kind of quest did you find?」
I ask as we head out of the city.
Ai gave me a quick, innocent smile and answered.
「It looks like a really easy quest! A hundred gold just for collecting flowers!」
It certainly sounds easy. The reward isn't great, but I don't think there are many clients who would pay that much just for flowers.
「Ehh? You can buy a bouquet at a florist, you know.」
Isabelle seemed to be wondering the same thing.
「No, no, no, not that kind of ordinary bouquet, but a special flower! It's a flower that blooms in the moonlit night by the Eastern Spring!」
「Eh? Ai, is it okay if I pick it in the morning?」
「It doesn't matter when you pick the flower, you idiot. The client doesn't know that, you know.」
I cared because you said flowers bloom on a moonlit night, but you're so defensive. Also, there's something about the Ai making fun of me that irritates me.
「That's not good. I don't think it makes any difference when you pick a flower. I don't care if it's a special flower, if the reward is only a hundred gold.」
Isabelle also mocked me for the amount of reward.
「Geez―Both of you, don't say so many disheartening things. I'm sure the client was a pretty girl who wanted the legendary flower. Isn't it our role as adventurers to make her wish come true?」
I said, hoping for something like that.
「Oh, yes, she might be a pretty girl. Her name is Gorman, and I think she's a gorilla.」
「Oh, you never know, do you? A hundred gold is a lot of money for a commoner kid, so maybe her father made the request.」
Isabelle said, but I suppose it's possible.
Ai had already checked out the route, so we walked a bit with her guidance, hunting monsters along the way as we went, and leisurely made our way to the spring.
「There it is! We're here!」
The spring was located in the forest.
It was a small spring, but the water was very clear, and the sunlight shining through the trees brightly illuminated the marine blue bedrock, creating a mystical scene.
「Wow, it's beautiful,...... It's really beautiful!」
The three of us gazed at the jewel-like spring for a while.
「Let's pick some flowers, shall we?」
Ai said as if she had changed her mind, but I noticed a wooden sign on the other side.

「It's a sign, isn't it?」
I thought it might say something about the origin of this spring.
『Warning, women stay away!』
「That's all it said.」

「I don't like it.」

I think girls would like this place better.

Ai says, but there's no one else besides us.
「That's right. I don't want to get into any trouble, so let's just get this quest over with.」
I'm a little torn, but Isabelle says, so I decide to pick some flowers.
By the spring, large blue flowers with star-shaped petals were growing in clusters all around.
「How much do we need?」
「It's too much trouble if the client say we don't have enough, so let's take as much as we can carry.」
「That's right. I don't think we'll need that much.」
According to Ai, we don't even need the roots, so I picked up the star-shaped flower and tore it off the stem.
Then, behind me, Isabelle shouted in surprise.
「What, what is it!?」
