　Weaving my way through the crowd and dodging offers from the clan, I arrived at the reception table.

　This alone was quite exhausting.

「Welcome! How can I help you today?」

　A female staff member in a suit responded amiably, and I was a little relieved.

「I'm here to register as an explorer.」

「Certainly. Then, please place your hand here.」

　When I put my hand on the square plate, it glowed faintly.

「We have confirmed the magic power crest. Are you Kouzai Haruma-sama?」

「Yes, I am.」

　I received something like a dog tag from the receptionist.

　On it was inscribed "10th Rank," "Kouzai Haruma," and "Last Floor Reached: 0F".

「Then here is 100,000 Auro for your preparation money.」

　I received 10 gold coins and put them in my jersey pocket.

「Haruma-sama, the 10th Rank explorer, is allowed to explore only one floor. You can be promoted to 9th Rank by either defeating 10 slimes there or completing the 10,000 Auro per day Beginner's Course. ......Haruma-sama, today is your 10th day, so you need to enter the dungeon right away.」

「I understand. That's all right.」

「Excuse me, Haruma-sama, do you have the 【Beginner's Knife】 with you?」

「Nope」

「The slime on the first floor can be defeated with a single blow if you have the 【Beginner's Knife】, so please have it ready if you will. If you wear the 【Beginner's Jersey】, you will not receive any damage, so please do not be afraid to face them.」

「Now then, please go to the entrance of the dungeon.」

　Following the signs, I found a wide passageway where five or six adults could walk side by side.

　There were two magic circles, each about the size of a tennis court.

「This is the first floor! Newcomers, please come this way!」

　The guide staff guided the new explorers.

　If you get on the magic circle, you will be transferred to the dungeon.

　By the way, the other magic circle is for the designated floor, so it has nothing to do with me now.

　However, there are many people wearing jerseys and holding knives at the magic circle on the first floor.

　They look like a strange group.

　I heard a vaguely familiar voice, so I looked that way and saw it was the ex-Yankee and the black-haired girl I met on the first day.

　I guess the black-haired one was too timid to come out until the last minute.
