Chapter 8 - Goblin Hunting
The next day, I went to the clothing store first thing in the morning.
I didn't have a change of clothes. It was an unbecoming blunder for a maiden.
When I took a hot bath last night, I thought I needed a change of clothes, but I forgot about it because of everything that happened after that. Well, I don't think I could have walked out in the middle of the night alone to go shopping for clothes anyway.
"Oh good, it's open."
It was still early in the morning, but I could see the clerk of the clothing store sorting through the shelves.
The clerk noticed me and glanced at me, but didn't say anything and continued to work on the shelves. I wondered if she was open for business.
"If you're looking for women's wear, you can find it there."
The shopkeeper told me, so it seems to be open for business. However, I was somewhat puzzled that she didn't greet me with a smile and say, "Welcome". Well, I guess this is a different world. The owner of the inn was like that, too.
I went around the shelves and looked for some good clothes.
"Ah, here it is!"
Among the buried clothes, there was a pleated skirt that could not be mistaken. Unfortunately, it didn't belong to Sakurafu Academy, but modern clothes should be durable.

It is said that besides us, the heroes are summoned by that magic circle once every few years. It's annoying, but there are monsters in this world too, so there must be a lot of circumstances.
I searched for other things and found two pairs of underwear (shorts), one white and one striped with elastic. The other underwear had strings to tie them, and they were large pumpkin pants, so this was definitely better.

When I went to the back room, I found that it was more like a shopkeeper's living room than a customer's room. Well, there was no point in worrying about it at this point.
I tried on some new clothes and decided to buy them with my clothes on, as I liked these better than the cloth clothes I had been given at the castle. It didn't have a price tag on it, so that wouldn't be a problem.

I might use the previous clothes as well, so I'll put them in the [item storage].

After breakfast at the inn, I, Keiji-kun, and Erwin decided to hunt for medicinal herbs outside the city and hunt monsters as we did yesterday.
"Seina, Keiji, look, there's a new enemy over there."
On the way, Erwin said, so I looked towards the forest and saw a small, dull green monster walking around. It walked on two legs and wore a waistcoat, but it didn't look like a human.
"Whoa, that's probably a goblin!"
"That's right. I've just used my skills to appraise it, and it's level 2, with 10 HP. It's twice the size of a slime, but it'll probably be easy to beat it."

"Uh, uh, sorry, Erwin. I didn't look at the experience before I killed it, so I don't know."
"Then let's look for another one. If it's better than slime, we can level up with goblins. It'll be easy."
"I agree."
I agreed with Erwin's idea, and we all looked around for goblins. The soldiers guarding the gate of the city had told us not to go into the forest, so we were careful not to go too deep.
"There! Goblins!"
"There are two of them. ......"
"I attack one of them first with a fire spell. You two just keep plugging away."

Erwin casts a spell, and the goblin who finally notices us there raises its club, but my longsword slices through the goblin's empty stomach first.

The goblin, who let out a shrill scream, collapsed and immediately turned into smoke.

As the goblin turned into smoke, something fell onto the grass.

"Sure."
I give Erwin the piece of purple crystal I found.
"I knew it. I just checked it and it's a magic stone. It's used as fuel for magical tools like lights in the city, so the guild will buy it for us."
"Oh, so you might be able to sell this for more than medicinal herbs."
It's more difficult to kill goblins than to collect medicinal herbs that grow around. If that's the case, the price should be higher.
"Maybe so. Well then, let's kill the goblins and collect the magic stones today."

We walked around the grassland, finding goblins one by one and hunting them one after another.
They dropped not only magic stones, but also fangs from time to time. According to Keiji-kun, monsters dropping items is called drop.
"Oh! I found another fang!"
"That's quite a collection. Is it really worth the money?"
If it's just trash, it'll be a funny story.
"That's okay! If you collect enough of these, they'll give you something good to trade! I bet!"

"What do you think?"
Erwin and I chuckled, but Keiji-kun seemed to enjoy collecting fangs, so that was okay.
As the sun began to set, we decided to end our hunt for the day and headed to the Adventurer's Guild to see if we could get some cash.
"Huh?Isn't that uncle Alec over there?"
As we entered the guild building, Keiji-kun said, black hair is a bit rare in this world, and a middle-aged person wearing only white cloth clothes is even more limited.
"Mmurghh."
I don't like uncooperative people like him.
"Looks like he's doing well too."
Erwin's smiled a good-natured smile and headed that way. Alec seems to be adventuring on his own, I wonder if he's doing really well? I doubt it.
The guild employee who received the herbs from Alec counted them, but it wasn't a large number.

I come up with a nifty little trick and tell my two buddies.
"Erwin, Keiji-kun, can you give me all the fangs and magic stones you've collected? I'll redeem them for everyone else's as well."
"Okay. I'll leave it to you then, Nee-chan."
"Leave it to me"
I stood next to Alec with the goblin loot in a bag and placed it on the counter for him to see.
"Goblin fangs, please redeem them."
Alec cashed it in for 30 gold. Now, I wonder how much money we'll have. Fufufu.
