Chapter 10 - A Heroes Stalks a Maid
The next day, I led Alec and the others to Baron Riot's villa.
We were going to get Lily's ring back.
"Here it is."
Riot's villa had its gates in a prime location in the royal capital, surrounded by high walls.
The spacious grounds included a garden, and the flowerbeds were full of colorful flowers, including pure white magnolias, red and purple lilacs, bust-colored stocks, and yellow acacias, all neatly tended and in full bloom.
"Why don't we go inside?"
I asked curiously as Alec paused in front of the gate.
He motioned with his hand to wait and closed his eyes. Apparently, he is here to choose a candidate for his skills.
However, my [intuition] told me that he was examining whether to take some kind of criminal skill that was not good.
"Hey, weren't you trying to get some weird skills just now?"
I asked, but Alec denied it with a pouty face.

I saw a young woman in a maid's uniform walking towards here from the back of the house.
"Hide."

I was confused as I couldn't read Alec's thoughts, as I had always thought that he would ask the maids to negotiate with the nobles. However, the other members, Meena and Lily, followed the leader's instructions and hid, so I reluctantly followed.

According to him, not only adventurers but also nobles collect them as works of art. The sphere is as smooth as a pearl and has a beautiful translucent color similar to rubies. I don't think it's surprising that someone would want one.

"Well, no, then. If we show them that we want the ring, they're related to that greedy baron, and they might try to push it on us even more. Use your head a little more."

"Let's follow that maid around a bit."

I glared at Alec, but I knew what I needed to do to tail her, so I ended up saying nothing.

"Why should a heroes do something like stalking ......"
I'm not going to go home alone, so I'm going to follow Alec, even though I'm complaining. I don't know what this guy is capable of. I have to keep an eye on him.
The maid finally decided to go back to the baron's mansion, and turned around and went into a narrow alley.
I'm pretty sure this is a deserted alleyway.
What would a maid want in a place like this?
The maid glanced back at me and she started running as fast as she could.

"Yes! Master."

The three of them start running after the maid.

I was stunned.
