Chapter 3 - With Alec
We went on a sightseeing tour of the royal capital. Lily and I went into a pizza store we found there.
「Welcome. How many servings would you like to order?」
「Two serv――three servings!」
「Lily, are you sure you can eat all of it?」
「It's okay, I'll eat it.」
「All right. Okay, three servings then.」
The fragrant smell of the pizza cooking wafted through the air, stimulating our appetites whether we liked it or not.
「Not yet ready?」
Lily taps the table with a wooden fork, but the authentic pizza is only baked when the customers arrive, so it won't be ready so soon.
「Let's be patient a little longer.」
「Eh. I'm tired of waiting!」
It hasn't been that long yet, but you're so unbearable.
「Oh, that's right. Then, Lily, I'll tell you the legend of the labyrinth.」
「Labyrinth? What kind?」
「Fufu, there was a king and queen who were good friends. One day, the king received a white cow as a gift from the gods.」
「Beef!」
You've got a big appetite.
「But the cow was promised to be returned to the gods later, so the king thought of a cunning plan and painted another ordinary cow white and returned it to the gods.」
This is the legend of the Minotaur in the Earth.
「Oh, wouldn't the gods notice that?」
「Yes, that's right. And the gods will be pissed. He said he would put a curse on the queen.」

「But the queen was as usual. The worried king was relieved that nothing had happened. But ......」
「B-But what?」
「The queen said she liked the cow and started to keep it in her room.」
「Oh, did she want to drink the milk?」

「Yay, pizza!」
Phew, thank God.
I ate the pizza, vowing never to mention the Minotaur in front of Lily again.
「Oh, this is beef-filled nenma~!」
Yes, it's okay to eat.
「Yeah, cheese and beef go surprisingly well together. The rich flavor, the chewy texture, and the juices are just gravy! Gravy!」
With happy smiles on our faces, Lily and I tucked into the beef-filled pizza.
「Oh, Alec.」
When we returned to the inn after eating the pizza, we found Alec in the dining room, a middle-aged man with a slightly sleepy look in his eyes. His grooming is always appropriate, and every time I see him, I'm curious.
「Are you eating now, by any chance?」
It's already lunchtime, but there's no way he's eating right on time.
「That's right.」
「What a waste of a beautiful day!」
「Hmph, I don't have time to get up so early on a holiday morning to go somewhere.」
「What's that? Is this some kind of insult to me? Geez. Oh well. I went to the market this morning and stopped by the castle. I found some good stuff. Here's a souvenir for you.」
I threw Alec a red fruit that I had bought at the market as a souvenir. Alec looked a little frustrated, but he caught it with one hand. It was thanks to his Level 3 Atleticism and Level 3 kinetic vision. He also has good combat skills.
Alec looked at the unusual fruit suspiciously, then took a bite.
「What do you think? Isn't it tasty?」
「It's okay. Anyway, weren't Meena and the others with you?」
「No, Meena and Ione said they were going to the kenjutsu dojo this morning. Lily was with me until the market, but she said she wasn't going to the castle.」
「Hmm.」
「Oh, speak of the devil, they're both back.」
「Master, I'm sorry, I thought you'd wake up a little later. ......」
Meena looked at Alec and apologized as if she was troubled.
「Don't worry about it, Meena. I can wake up on my own. How was your training?」
「Yes. I learned a new kata from Welbard-sensei.」
Since Meena is talking happily, it seems that her training at the Kenjutsu dojo went well.
「My father also praised her for her good muscles.」
Ione smiled next to me. They were both wearing armor, as if they were in a real battle.
「I see. That's good.」
「Well, I guess we'll go change.」
「Yeah」
「Aah! He's eating something! That's not fair, Alec.」
Lily's back, but she's a glutton.
「Don't worry, I bought you one too.」
「Oh, wow. Bon appétit!」
Lily sucked on it with her small mouth, but she seemed to be very hungry.
「Mmmm!」
Lily looked blissful with a smile on her face, as if she really liked the tomato-like red fruit.
「Is that all there is to this fruit, Serina?」
「Yes, I didn't know if it would be good for everyone's taste, so I only bought one of each. If Lily is so happy, I should have bought more.」
「So, while we're buying the fruit, let's go eat some yakitori.」
The yakitori are the same as in Japan, just regular grilled chicken.
「Yes, that's fine. Let's go.」
With Meena and Ione in tow, we headed for the city market.
While we were buying and eating yakitori and fruit at the market, we saw people starting to gather in a corner of the square. It was quite a crowd of people.
「What's that?」
Alec asked, looking at them.
「Oh, that. Since we're here, let's take a closer look, Alec.」
I smiled and pulled his hand to go over there.
Now, I wonder how happy Alec will be to see the idol?
