Prologue

　We all have things we want to redo.

　No one lives a life fully satisfied and content with everything.

　If only I had done what I should have done back then――

　We live our lives today with our eyes closed to our regrets.

　If given the chance to start over, anyone would reach for the light.

　The greater the regret, the more desperate, miserable, and selfish we are.

　I don't care what anyone thinks of me. If I can live and die with satisfaction.

　This is the story of a man who was given such an opportunity.

　Or, it is a story of the persistence of those who were not rewarded.
