Chapter 5 - A Carriage Ride

　The carriage group continued their journey with breaks in between, and arrived at a small village before dusk. The village seemed to have become an inn town, which was great news for us as we were prepared to stay in the open from the first day.

　Alec offered to pay for Nick's lodging, but he refused. He was going to sleep in the carriage, which might be safer considering the security.

「We were lucky to have hot soup and stir-fried vegetables.」

　At the dinner table, I was in a good mood. Three more nights. I've heard that we'll be staying in the field.

　There were monsters in the field, so there was a possibility that we might have to fight in the middle of the night. So I was going to warn Alec not to stay up too late, but he went to bed surprisingly early.
